  1. Prepare & Ground
    • Bring your tools near your front door (or a central place in your home).
    • Take 3 slow breaths, feeling your feet or seat stable.
    • Say: “This is my home.I have the right to feel safe here.”
  2. Set Intention
    • Hold your hand over the candle and say: “This spell is to protect my home from harm, and to invite safety and peace inside.”
  3. Create a Protective Circle
    • Place the bowl of salt on a plate or directly on the floor/table.
    • If you like, mix in a pinch of protective herb.
    • Trace a small circle around the bowl with your finger, saying: “Within this circle, only what truly wishes us well may enter.”
  4. Light the Candle & Charge
    • Place the candle beside or behind the bowl and light it.
    • Imagine the flame extending protection to every room, door, and window.
    • Repeat 3–9 times: “Walls strong, doors wise, peace within and clear, kind ties.”
  5. Direct the Energy
    • If you have a key, hold it over the bowl and candle for a moment, letting it soak in the intention.
    • If not, imagine your front door glowing with a gentle, protective light.
  6. Release & Close
    • After a few minutes, when it feels “done,” snuff the candle safely.
    • Say: “This working is complete.May this home be guarded, may all who dwell here be protected and at peace.”
  7. Mundane Follow-Up
    • Check that doors and windows close/lock properly.
    • Do one small practical thing to support safety:
      • tidy the entryway
      • clear clutter from in front of the door
      • remove anything that makes you feel uneasy
    • You can keep the salt bowl by the door for a week, then dispose of it (outside or down the drain) and refresh as needed.
